Welcome to 8th Grade Math with Mrs. Prather!

EVERYONE MAKES A DIFFERENCE

Students need to have their math book and journal in class every day! It is an essential part of being successful in class....

We are asking that all students keep thier book in a 2" 3 ring binder that will act as a book cover.

If the book is lost it will cost $12 to replace

I am so excited to have your student this year! Eight grade is such a growing year for most students, so it should be an interesting year!

I graduated from Midwestern State University in May of 2006 and have taught at Bedford since the Fall of 2006. I am the oldest of 4 kids in my family and went to school in Arlington (Go Warriors!). I am originally from Michigan, but have lived in Texas for many years now. In 2015, my husband and I welcomed our son, Landon. He is such a joy and keeps me very busy outisde of school.

I am the cheerleading coach at BJH and really enjoy being able to be more involved with the students.

8th Grade math is simply an extension of 7th grade math. We will be covering a lot of new concepts this year and exploring many new ideas! Your student will really need to stay on top of their work and come in for tutorials at the first sign of a struggle. I am available in the mornings and after school if you come see me at cheerleading practice!

I am very excited to have your student in class this year. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me by email (danielleprather@hebisd.edu) or call me at 817-788-3101 extension 5561.

I am really looking forward to working with you and your student!

Danielle Prather

Students who have an Android phone can download a free graphing calculator app to use on their phone! It is called WABBITEMU and is only available on Google Play Store. When you install the app, let it create your ROM file and download the OS. When it asks you what version you want to emulate, select the TI-84+CSE. It is the best one out there!

If you do not have an Android phone, you can still install the program on your Computer by searching the web for Wabbitemu and following the prompts. Or you can visit my document manager and there is a link to a different version that is a little different than what we use in class.
