This class serves as an introduction to the French language and culture. Students will learn a variety of basic vocabulary and grammar structures, as well as a basic understanding of cultural differences. French I students must review their notes every evening. They will have homework every night; all assignments are posted on this webpage in the "look here for documents to download" section. There is a homework/quiz/test calendar available for download. |

This class serves as both a wrap-up of the French basics as well as an introduction to the IB/AP level. Students are encouraged to use French as often as possible both in and out of class. Since this is an advanced-level class, students are expected to review their notes every evening. They are also encouraged to explore French culture on their own. Students will have homework every night; all assignments are posted on this webpage in the "look here for documents to download" section. There is a homework/quiz/test calendar available for download. |

This is the class that will prepare students for the IB tests. Various topics are presented, including a review/expansion of French grammar, cultural differences and similarities, and strategies for being successful on the exam(s). Students must complete fifteen extra hours of French study/review outside of class per month by watching movies in French, meeting with French-speaking friends after school, reading articles on the Internet, etc. Students are expected to communicate only in French in class. |
