About your teacher, Mrs. Lawson

This year, the 2017-2018 school year, I embrace my 17th year of teaching in Texas public schools.  Prior to that I home schooled my youngest child through third grade, and was extensively involved in PTA at my daughters schools in Irving and Lewisville. This is my fifth year in HEB. I am still impressed with the district's commitment to a uniquely challenging program. Having the opportunity to participate in either the AP or IB program is an enviable choice few districts in the state provide.

I graduated from Xavier College Preparatory in Phoenix, AZ. I attended the University of Dallas in Irving, on academic scholarship, where I earned a BA in Psychology. I completed a Masters in Gifted Education December of 2016 at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX.

I believe it is my duty and privilege to help our students be the best and most successful learners they can be. HEB's advanced academics curriculum reflects our goals and desire to be the best while meeting the needs of our advanced academics students.  I look forward to working with your child this coming year.
