THEATRE IA-BEGINNING ACTING

Beginning Acting Course 1A & 1B meets the Fine Arts Credit for graduation.  Students will learn the 4 basic strands/foundations of theatre.

1.  Inquiry and Understanding-develop a perception of self, human relationships, and the world using elements of drama and conventions of theatre.

2.  Creative Expression-students communicate in a dramatic form, engage in artistic thinking, build positive self concepts, releate interpersonally and integrate knowledge with other content areas in a revelant manner.

3.  Historical and Culturally Revelance-increase their understanding of heritage and traditions of theatre and the diversity of world culture as expressed in theatre.

4.  Critical Evauation and Response-engage in inquiry and dialogue, accept constructive criticism, revise personal views to promote creativity and critical thinking and develop the ability to appreciate and evaluate live theatre.

Theatre II/III/IV A-ADVANCED THEATRE
