I have three wonderful children of my own, love teaching and working with students at school. Math Classroom Supplies:

Students will need a pencil for math every day, paper to write on and a math folder that they will leave in class for taking notes. It is important that students come to class prepared each day.

Students that finish their work in class will usually have homework twice a week. Studyguides for tests should be brought home and studied: student studyguide homework directions include reviewing vocabulary meaning and uses in the math problems, reviewing the steps for the math processes we will have on the test, and to be ready to ask questions in class for help with any material on the studyguide that they need help with before the test.

Important math skills that students need for success in middle school math include:

Memorizing multiplication math facts

Math vocabulary, posted by grade level each six weeks

  Problem solving skills
