Mr. Alger's Mathematics Homepage

About Me

I was born and raised right here in Euless. I went to Oakwood Terrace Elementary, Central Junior High and then graduated from Trinity High School in 2003. Upon graduation I went to Texas A&M University where I majored in mathematics and minored in Chemistry. While at A&M, I was a member of the Corps of Cadets (Talon 12) while I concurrently served in the United States Air Force Reserves. After graduating I taught math at MacArthur High School in Irving for four years, and then returned to Trinity to teach math. This is my ninth year of teaching and my fifth year at Trinity. I have taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Math Models and Precal.

Outside of teaching, I have also been a real estate agent since 2011 and owned a Mr. Jim's Pizza franchise in Fort Worth from August 2013 until October 2014. When I'm not teaching or working in real estate I can often be found on a community theater stage here in D/FW. I have performed in many shows at many theaters. Locally you may have seen me at the Artisan Center Theater in Hurst, Onstage in Bedford, Runway Theatre in Grapevine, Irving-Las Colinas Mainstage in Irving, Theater Arlington, Firehouse Theater in Farmers Branch, GPAC in Grand Prairie, or Theater Coppell. I am also a runner and compete in a race almost every weekend.
