Career Preparation involves partnerships with local business and industry, which allows students to train at the actual businesses.
Career Preparation allows students to earn school credit for their on-the-job training. Students must work a minimum of fifteen hours per week (180 hours each trimester for a total of 540 hours for the year) and attend class daily. Career Prep students receive one full credit each trimester for a total of three credits for the year.

Classroom instruction is offered two times during the school day.
Entrepreneurship: In this class we will discover all it takes to successfully own and operate your own business. Students will create a Business Plan for their own company. Entrepreneurship is offered one classroom period each trimester. Sign up with your counselor today!!
FACS (Family and Community Service)
This is a student leadership organization for Family and Consumer Science students. Any student that has taken or is taking a FACS class is eligible to participate in this student led organization. We will be working with Shady Brook Elementary students this year as well as participate in the Tarrant Relay For Life event in the Spring. We meet on Wednesday mornings at 8:00 in room E-6.
