Congratulations to these students for being named winners in the First Annual Hurst Junior High Science Fair. There were 11 entries and the subjects ranged from rotting food to cell phone brain damage. The first place winner measured the electrical power in fruit and its ability to power a light bulb. The second place winner measured the power of dry ice in lifting a rocket and third place tested the ease of creating alternative power.
Many thanks to our judges! Two are researchers from Baylor Immunology and two are engineers from Alcon. The students were judged on specifics such as having the scientific method and their ability to present their project neatly and accurately.
