The THS Varsity tennis team earned 3rd place at the district tennis tournament for both boys and girls, to match the 3rd place finish in the fall team tennis season earlier this year. Top girl, freshman Nicole Mayer from Central JH, took 4th place overall in girls singles, and top boy, junior Jamison Inocando, took runner up in boys singles. Jamison will represented the district at the Region 1 championship at Texas Tech.
The 3rd place finishes this year in both the team and individual seasons marks Trinity's best overall results in 10 years. The team is coached by Chris Yenne.
Trinity varsity tennis players this fall and spring were:
Boys- Jamison Inocando, Anthony Abrego, Sachin Patel, Sid Dhruve, Vivek Puttaparthi, Matt McDowell, Luis Duran, Talhah Awan, Juan Bocanegra, Jordan Lapp, and Daniel Lee.
Girls- Nicole Mayer, Kristen Keane, Jessica Lee, Jeanie Nguyen, Zehra Jafri, Komal Malik, Melissa Aguirre, Brittany McCully, Morgan Essary, Pradu Kanchustambham, and Angel Kim.
Trinity Baseball welcomed young fans and youth league players as honored guests this spring at its 8th Annual Run with the Trojans events. Spanning over 4 weeks, these youngsters not only received free admission to the game, a free hotdog, and the 2013 Run with the Trojans t-shirt; but they also got to join the Trinity players on the field for the National Anthem and then run the bases and play catch after the game. It was sometimes hard to determine if the Trinity players or these enthusiastic young fans were enjoying themselves more with all the photo ops and autographs!
The Run with the Trojans Program could not have been possible without the generous support of our community sponsors. Special thanks goes out to Computerminds, DEK Plumbing, Parra Car Care, My Credit Union, Donut Palace, Chicken Express, Rita's, Rik Forehand Designs, iT'Z, 6 Stones, Harwood Road Animal Hospital, Independent Mary Kay Consultant Mary Fran Jarzynka, Team Vandergriff Collision Center, Republic Tire, Mega Mobile, and Trophies and More.
