Schools:  Midway Park Elementary:  Youth Sports; Central Junior High:  Football, Basketball, Track;  Trinity High School:  Football Consensus All District, All State, All American 1976;  University of Texas:  Football Scholarship, All Southwest Conference, All American, 1978 Sun Bowl, 1981 Cotton Bowl Champions, Number Two in Nation 1981;  Professional Football:  Cleveland Browns, New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs, Drafted Fifth Round 1982, Starter Eleven Years in NFL, Missed Only One Game, Playoffs Five Times;  Play-by-play Radio and Television Color Man; Numerous Charity Awards;  Countless Appearances at Schools, Clinics, and Autograph Sessions.


He stated:  "I had fabulous coaches in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford School District:  John Reddell, Ray Verkerk, Vernon Bingham, and many more.  This is the only reason I became a player.  When it's sports, I love to play, not watch."
