Pre-Kindergarten Registration/Eligibility
2010-2011
Pre-Kindergarten is taught on specific elementary campuses and is available to all students who qualify.

HOW TO QUALIFY:
Eligibility for the State-based 1/2 day Pre-K program are as follows:
- Child must be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2010
- Must live within Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD
- Family income falls within federal guidelines for free & reduced lunch program OR
- Limited English proficiency OR
- Homeless (as defined by 42 U.S.C.S. Section, 11302) OR
- Child is an active duty military dependent OR
- Foster Care/State Adoption
WHAT TO BRING:
The following documentation must be presented at registration before a child can officially be enrolled in a HEB Pre-K program:
- Child's birth certificate
- Current immunization record
- Child's social security card (if available)
- Proof of district residence (current utility bill with parent/guardian name and address. (Telephone bills will not be accepted) OR current lease agreement with parent/guardian name and address OR notarized statement of residency
- Driver's license of parent/guardian
- Proof of income
- 2009 Tax Return (Required for Head Start or Self Employed)
- Current pay stubs for ALL working members of the household. "Current" meaning month prior to verification (ex. June 28 - July 28)
- Child needs to be present if he/she speaks a language other than English.
- Proof of active military duty of parent (if applicable)
- Proof of Foster Care/State Adoption (if applicable)
Pre-K classes are offered at: Bellaire, Bell Manor, Donna Park, Harrison Lane, Midway Park, North Euless, Oakwood Terrace, River Trails, Shady Oaks, South Euless, Spring Garden, West Hurst and Wilshire.
Bus service is not provided for Pre-K students
