What is A/V Production? A/V Production is a media technology program for sophomore through senior-level students. It is designed to prepare students for the possibilities of entry-level employment, post-secondary education/training, or self-employment. Students have the opportunity for hands on learning experience in areas such as: Camera Operator, Audio/Video Editing, Production Lighting, TV/Video Production, Script Writing, Directing and TV Studio Operations

Advanced AV Production Student's Film Selected for SXSW 2017

A short film by Buinger CTE Academy student Dylan Banfield has been selected to be shown at the South by Southwest film festival! The Silent Paracosm will be shown during SXSW's Texas High School Shorts, a "preview of the next filmmaking generation". The film will debut at SXSW Film 2017 in March, in the 450-seat Vimeo Theatre at the Austin Convention Center.

Dylan is a student in Lance Moran's Advanced Audio/Video Production program at BCTEA. Dylan's The Silent Paracosm is a silent horror film following Faust, a young blind boy coming to terms with events that with change him deeply.
