Personal Challenge Event (January 2012)

In an abundance of caution, HEB ISD is cancelling all after-school student activities for today, Tuesday, May 21, 2013. All schools will dismiss at the regular time. Buses will run their normal routes at normal times. Extended Day Academies will remain open until 6 p.m. We will post any future information on our Urgent News page: http://schoolctr.hebisd.edu/weather


	Adapted Physical Education

Adapted P.E. is physical education adapted to meet both the strengths and limitations of students with disabilities so they can safely and successfully participate in the program. Adaptations and/or modifications are made to activities and/or teaching procedures.


	Special Olympics

Special Olympics sports offered through our district include bowling, volleyball, basketball, and athletics (track & field). Students must be at least 8 years of age to compete in individual skills or team sports. They may begin attending practices at age 6. Contact Donna McGraw or Paula Anderson for specific information.


	Special Olympics All-Sports Registration/Parent Meeting

Meadow Creek Elementary gymnasium, Wednesday, September 19, 2012 from 5:00-7:00 pm.

Please bring completed athlete enrollment forms, signed by a doctor if your child has never participated. To access forms, visit www.sotx.org. Click Get Involved, click Competitions, then scroll to the bottom and click 2012 SOTX Information Guide. Click Athlete Eligibility and scroll down to pages B-7 and B-8. Priint forms, fill out and bring to registration. Athletes with Atlantoaxial Instability will also need pages B-5 and B-6.
