HEB ISD Coordinated School Health Program is designed to: Involve schools, parents, students and the community in improving overall student health and safety. Students participate in lessons and activities presented by counselors, nurses, teachers, and during physical education and lunch. The lessons are designed to help students make healthier decisions in all aspects of their lives. The curriculum is activity based and includes a wide variety of resources. Teachers have many options to help them select the most appropriate lessons for their students. A district newsletter goes out to parents to inform them of the topics of the month so the home can be an active part of the student's learning. Sparks/Healthy & Wise is the adopted program by HEB ISD. For more information about Coordinated School Health, visit: http://www.cdc.gov/healthyyouth/cshp/
