Friday Night: Acitivity Sheets (possibly get a head start on Monday night's long writing assignment, depending on your weekly schedule)

Monday Night: Long Writing Assignment (ICPoW and sentences alternate, although an ICPoW may be written every week in place of sentences).

Tuesday Night: Word study activity (Word Webs, Neologies, Parts of Speech graphic organizer, 5 words to create 5 acrostic poems) - assignments vary week by week

Wednesday Night: test review (use quizlet, spellingcity, or good old fashioned call and answer style quizzing)/ Students need to know all ten core words and stems by heart.

Keep all Lexicons. Students resubmit all 4 at the end of each six weeks. An original (or corrected) average of 90% or higher on all four lexicons (5.A, 5.B, 5.C & 5.D) earns a free vocabulary homework pass. Lexicons also help on weeks with review stems(this begins in week three and continues for the rest of the year).
