I originally met Jose through his friendship with my son and daughter at Central Junior High school. He was just one of those great kids you were happy to have your own children be friends with.  So I was thrilled when I found out he was coming to KEYS to graduate early and continue pursuing his dream of playing soccer at the college and even professional level.  I knew he would be a great example for our other KEYS students in regards to setting goals, and working hard to achieve them.  And he was.  His death is a tremendous loss not only to his family and friends, but to the whole community.

Jose was a nice, polite young man with a humble personality.  He was so talented in soccer and although he would have rather been on the soccer field, he made our Business Law class (and lunch break) entertaining and enjoyable with his soft-spoken witty comments.  As his Business Law teacher, I feel blessed to have known him. My heart and prayers are with his family.
