KEITH BURNS

INDUCTED FEBRUARY 6, 2010

L.D. Bell High School, Graduated 1979: Scholar Athlete, 3 year letterman in football, All District, All Area, All Tarrant County, Defensive Player of the Year.  University of Arkansas 1979-1983: Football 3 year letterman, 2 year starter, defensive captain, a member of four bowl teams: Sugar, Hall of Fame, Gator, and Bluebonnet.  In 1998 was hired by Arkansas as the Defensive Coordinator.  A finalist for Assistant Coach of the Year which is given annually to the nation's number one assistant coach.  Was named head coach at the University of Tulsa, 2000-2002.  Inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame 2008.  Inducted into the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame 2009.  Some of the best times of my life have been spent on the football field.  Faith, a loving family, and great coaches influenced me to get into the coaching profession.  That's how I keep things in perspective.
