On October 6th, 1,000 teachers at 1,000 schools across the country were surprised with a donation package worth over $1,000 in classroom resources. Shady Oaks Elementary 5th grade teacher and Campus Teacher of the Year, Melissa Tanksley, was one of the lucky recipients. Office Max and the Adopt-A-Classroom organization worked together to honor the teachers. Clint Thomas from Office Max - Southlake presented Mrs. Tanksley with a certificate and donated resources for her classroom including a digital camera, electric sharpener, printer, office chair and numerous supplies and materials.
