Are you interested in learning Hindi or Mandarin Chinese? Are you interested in learning more about the cultures of South Asia and East Asia? If so, we invite you to apply for the three-week summer academy offered only at Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD! WHAT: An intensive three-week summer academy for students who will be entering 7th grade or 10th grade in fall 2010 to explore one of two critical world languages and the cultures of South Asia or East Asia. WHO: Academically motivated middle-school students entering 7th grade or 10th grade in the fall of 2010 may apply. This academy is also open to out-of-district students. Space is limited to fifty students for each language program. WHERE: The academy will be held at Central Junior High School, 3191 W. Pipeline Road, Euless, TX 76040. WHEN: June 1-June 17, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Mondays-Thursdays (except Friday, June 4). COST: There is no cost to students. Students will be asked to bring their own lunches except on those days when lunch will be provided by the school district.
