2008 Texas Bluebonnet Award nominee Obert Skye, the author of _Leven Thumps and the Gateway to Foo_, visited Shady Oaks on Friday, November 2. Students in grades three through six attended his presentation. Mr. Skye shared ideas from his books and answered questions from the students and teachers. The author signed books at Barnes & Noble.
