Volunteer Opportunities -

Keep checking this site for new volunteer opportunities.  At the junior high level, the PTA does not promote a school-wide fundraiser.  We are able to raise funds in smaller ways; such a way is having adult volunteers work in the concession stand during athletic events.

Thank you to all the volunteers that made this past school year such a success! Hurst Junior High took the Golden Apple award for having THE MOST volunteer hours during the 2009-2010 school year at the junior high level in the Hurst Euless Bedford School District!  We are very proud of that accomplishment!  Thank you to each and every volunteer that works so hard to make our school such a special place!  We love our volunteers !

Would you like to be more involved at the school?  Were you aware e-mails are sent to our volunteer data base when a need arises?  Would you like to be part of this e-mail group?  Then click on the following link and fill out a background check:    https://www2.hebisd.edu/vips/new_background.asp  If you have filled this form out and are not receiving e-mails, please log-in to your account and check your profile to make sure the correct e-mail address is listed!  Background checks expire yearly, so make sure yours is up to date and you are receiving the volunteer e-mails!  If you have any questions, please contact Laura at staceyl@hebisd.edu .

The purpose of a school volunteer program is to better meet the needs of students and to provide support for the school and classroom teachers.  The volunteer program at Hurst Junior High is an essential link connecting students, staff and the community. The most important thing to remember when you are volunteering is that you must complete a yearly background check. These are conducted to ensure the safety of all the students at Hurst Junior High. Thank you for understanding this important part of providing a safe environment for all students.
