Stars Shine on District Accomplishments
Communications Department Wins 14 State PR Awards

The district's Communications Department won Silver, Gold, and Best of Category awards for 2007 in the Texas School PR Association (TSPRA) Star Awards competition. Each year, districts across the state submit hundreds of entries in 44 print, electronic, and campaign categories.

Star Awards provide recognition for outstanding education communications projects of TSPRA members. Independent, impartial judges evaluate each piece of work and each project based on set criteria, then award Silver and Gold Star Awards, as well as Best of Category, to those that qualify. Not all entries receive an award.

The Communications Department won 14 awards in eight categories.
