Chris Crutcher is an author and therapy consultant born in Dayton, Ohio to a WWII bomber pilot and a homemaker. He grew up in Cascade, Idaho and graduated from Eastern Washington University with a BA in psychology and sociology and a teaching credential. Ms. McMullan writes two humorous series for beginning readers: "The Adventures of Fluffy, Classroom Guinea Pig" (Scholastic) and the "Pearl and Wagner" books (Dial), which explore the friendship between a bossy bunny and a disorganized mouse. For chapter-book readers, she writes the "Dragon Slayers' Academy" series (Grosset & Dunlap).
