Resident of Hurst, Texas, for Eighty Years;  Attended Hurst School First Through Ninth Grade;  Graduated 1939 Carter Riverside High School;  City of Hurst:  Appointed First Postmaster and Served for Twenty-five Years, Member Park and Recreation Board, Elected to City Council and Served Five Years, Elected Mayor in 1980 and Serving Twenty-fourth Year;  Actively Promoted the Passage of a Bond Package for Hurst Athletic Complexes and Parks and Recreational Improvements, 1977;  Pioneered the Passage of the Half Cent Sales Tax for Sports and Recreational Facilities, 1993;  Promoted Lighted Fields for All Sports;  Actively Supported the Passage of the Pennington Field Bond, 1985;  Served as a Coach in Hurst's First Pee Wee Football Program;  Coached Little League Baseball;  Active in H.E.B. Sports Booster Clubs.
