All Around High School Athlete in Grand Saline, Texas;  Football Scholarships:  UTA, Texas A&M University;  High School Teacher, Head Coach Seventeen Years:  Grand Saline, H.E.B.;  Coached L.D. Bell High School to First District Championship 1962;  A Founder of the Texas High School Athletic Directors Association;  H.E.B. ISD Director of Athletics and Physical Education 1962-95:  During Tenure, Two High Schools, Five Middle Schools, Eighteen Elementary Schools, Pennington Field and H.E.B. Athletic Complex were Constructed;  Brought Competitive Gymnastics and the First Athletic Trainer to Texas Public Schools;  A Founder of the H.E.B. Recreation Federation and Mid-Cities Youth Activity Council;  Initiated State Recognized Motor Development Programs for Young People;  Physical Education Program was a State and National Model;  Athletic Program was Respected as One of the Best in the State.


Hoot's Philosophy:  Teach the children well so they can reap the benefits of a quality developmental program and participate in a safe, satisfying, and successful environment.
