Bell High School:  Basketball Coach Ralph Zeltz Three Seasons, Advanced to State Final Four, Associated Press All State, 1962-63, All District, District Player of the Year, First Team All State 1963-64, School Record for Scoring Fifty-Three Points in One Game, Coach's North-South All Star Team, All Star Game Record for Most Free Throws in a Game, Scored Over 2,000 Points in High School Career;  Baseball First Team All District 1963-64;  Southern Methodist University:  Basketball Coaches were Doc Hayes and Bob Prewitt, All Southwest Conference Freshman 1966, Southwest Conference Champions 1967-68, Advanced to the NCAA Midwest Regional Scholarship Game,  Bobby Mills Award for Leadership and Scholarship, Graduated with a BBA Degree from the School of Business 1969.

These were the magical years of the early 60s when a new dream began to create a school legacy of championships and champions.
