1)  Q What is the policy on ozone alerts?
A
Although there is a policy on excess heat, HEB does not have a policy on ozone alerts. Practices will continue with care paid to the heat.

3)  Q Does my student need a physical?
A
Every athlete in HEB is required to have a physical on file at the school that he plays athletics. A physical is good for 2 years. A 7th grader will need a new physical, then a new one in 9th grade and then a new one in 11th grade.

4)  Q What is a towell and locker fee?
A
This is a fee that we charge to students to help us maintain lockers to keep students' personal effects and practice gear safe as well as one to maintain towells for them to shower with.
5)  Q Why don't our 7th graders practice in the morning like some other schools?
A
1) We feel that at the 7th grade level, the amount of time that we work with our 7th graders is adequate for them at this time. We are trying to introduce them to football; allowing them to get their "feet wet". 2) Because of transportation issues and the difficulties of mornings on most families at our school, practice during the school day is a better option than a morning practice. 3) Due to the amount of testing that we do at Central Junior High, our students never miss 4th period athletics, but will on many occasions miss 1st period. Practicing during 4th period guarantees that we will get to have practice every day.
