Since some of us will be traveling short and long distances by car this Winter season, here are a few, if not all, items you should have in your vehicles before leaving home. Just down load from this site and you can zoom in on anything listed in the picture. In my younger days I did a lot of traveling around the United States. To this day I keep all of these items and more in my vehicle so I'll have what I need in case of an emergency or breakdown. One of our advisors owns a 04 Jeep Wrangler and he is able to fit all these items and more in it, and still have room for luggage and passengers. Remember, it's better to have and not need, than need and not have. Remember to drive safely this winter of 2014 so we can see your smiling faces in 2015.

Answers
1)  Q How often should I change the coolant in my car?
A
Every 2 years or 36,000 miles
2)  Q Which water source is best to add to my battery? Distilled water or tap water?
A
Distilled water is best, but tap water is OK in an emergency.
3)  Q How often should I change my oil?
A
What ever the manufacture of the vehicle recommends. Neither the API (American Petroleum Institute) or anybody else knows where the three thousand (3,000) mile interval came from. Therefore it not necessary for you to change oil that soon.
4)  Q How often should I rotate my tires?
A
Every 6,000 miles.
