If you have you have been admitted to Texas A&M University for Fall 2013 need assistance in understanding the financial aid process please let them know that there our Regional office in Arlington will be holding free Financial Aid workshops where we will be explaining the different types of financial aid and how the financial aid process works at Texas A&M University. The workshops are about an hour long and will begin at 6:30pm.

The student or parent needs to call our office 817-375-0960 and reserve a space for one of the workshops as space will be limited.

 

 

Bigfuture-by The College Board

  • The website for bigfuture is www.bigfuture.org The following information regarding Bigfuture was collected from the 2012 Collegeboard Fall Counselor Workshop:
  • It is a free and comprehensive website.
  • It provides a step-by-step approach to college planning.
  • Offers guidance and student perspectives every step of the way.
  • It's goal is to help all students find, afford, and enroll in a college that's a good fit for them.
  • It has a new College Search tool and new college profiles.

1. The following schools have scheduled college visits on the L. D. Bell campus: Interested students should see Mrs. McGuire in the counseling office prior to the scheduled visit for instructions on how to be able to leave class to talk to these college representatives.

2. Texas A&M, Texas Tech, and the University of Texas at Austin have regional centers to help and advise prospective students. 3. Request for Student Make Up Work:  If a student will be out for 3 consecutive days or more, parents can request make up work. Requests must be made on or after the 3rd day of absence before 10:00 a.m. Work can be picked up in the Counseling office that day between 3:30 - 4:15 p.m. Please call Mrs. McGuire in the Counseling office to request make up work. You can even call after hours and leave a voice mail. (817) 399-3188.
