The following books are not intended as a mandatory purchase to be in the Tracker Club. These are just some of the books in my library on the subject. These are all non-fiction and aid in the learning process of tracking and survival.

The Tracker: The True Story of Tom Brown Jr.

This is a great book telling the story of my first teacher Tom Brown Jr.

Tom Brown's Field Guide to Wilderness Survival

Tom Brown's Field Guide to Nature Observation

Tom Brown's Guide to Wild Edible and Medicinal Plants

The Science and Art of Tracking: Nature's Path to Spritual Discovery by Tom Brown Jr.

Outdoor Survival Skills by Larry Dean Olsen

This is the first book I ever bought on wilderness survival. I found out he worked with Robert Redford during the making of the movie Jeremiah Johnson. That movie has always been a favorite of mine.

Tracking and the Art of Seeing by Paul Rezendes

Peterson's Field Guide to Animal Tracks by Olaus Murie

Peterson's Field Guide to Venomous Animals and Poisonous Plants by Roger Caras

Considered to be the most importan book you can read on wilderness survival.

Fiction - The Gary Paulsen "Hatchet" series is good to get younger students interested in the outdoors and the practice of survival and earth skills.
