Fourth Graders Earning a Texan Adventure (Fall 2013)

The hard work and extra effort is worth it!  Hurst Hills Elementary 4th graders are learning the value of working hard towards a goal.  As a grade level they will be traveling to Austin, Texas, in a “Proud to be Texan” adventure. Students will explore different experiences and aspects of Texas history, our early explorers, The Texas Revolution, the government at work and the legislative process in a unique and hands-on experience. Students are very excited to be able to see their 4th grade curriculum come to life in the state capitol of Texas.

Each student is volunteering throughout the year in different aspects to ensure that every student has the opportunity for this once in a lifetime activity with their classmates. Their next event will include The First Annual Chili Cook Off, which will preceed the campus Veteran's Day Celebration.
