Bell Manor is certainly a "data driven" campus. Students from Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade all have data folders! It's true-they may not look alike, but they ALL have them. There are graphs and charts in every classroom, documenting all types of data, everything from understanding the main idea in a story to knowing their shapes! On the afternoon of November 11th (school was out for the students) the Bell Manor staff had a special treat-they were able to visit other classrooms in the building and see how Continuous Improvement was being used. Teachers in several different grade levels gave a mini lesson on how they were using CI. Later, after filling out a plus/delta about the day, everyone agreed sharing ideas and brainstorming strategies across classrooms and grade levels was an exceptional way to spend an afternoon in professional development. |
