Everyone at Shady Oaks Elementary School is thrilled to have forty wonderful new books to share, courtesy of the "Boxtops for Education" program. Parent Liz Hagemann coordinated the collection effort in which many students participated, and she was pleased to announce that the parents and students collected the most redeemable items ever during the 08-09 school year. It was the decision of our PTA Executive Board to use the $600 profit to purchase books for our library media center for everyone to share. Many thanks to everyone who made this wonderful donation possible, especially to our parents who worked so hard to clip and save and send in the proofs of purchase! Please continue to keep on saving them for this year's collection!
