Mr. Lilly, a dad to one of our Bell Manor students and a middle school science teacher came to school and showed our first graders how much fun science can be! The first graders are studying matter (solids, liquids, and gases).  Mr. Lilly showed our students how matter can change and release energy.  Among other things, the students saw a pickle light up, watched Mr. Lilly create 'elephant toothpaste' and smoke rings, and even heard a PVC pipe SING!  The students were able to do their own experiments; they created chemical reactions that produced cold and heat!
