Miss McIntyre's 4^th grade class at Midway Park Elementary School was recently recognized as the winner of the 2009 Arbor Daze "Poe-Tree" Contest. Each 4^th grade class in the 5 Euless elementary schools wrote a poem about a tree, and a panel of judges scored each entry on the basis of content, presentation, and clarity.  "My Great Big Friend", written by Miss McIntyre's class, was the winning poem.  The City of Euless will plant a tree and have the winning poem engraved on a plaque to be on permanent display at the Preserve at McCormick Park for all to enjoy. The Mayor of the City of Euless, Mary Lib Saleh, personally delivered the Proclamation.
