Photo Galleries (2008-2009) - Kindergarten Chili Cookoff

After studying a Core Knowledge unit on Texas, Kindergartners at Wilshire brought in ingredients to make homemade chili. We had some "famous" judges come do a taste test to decide whose chili was the best. Each class was awarded a "special" certificate: Mrs. Bennet's class won the "Jumpin'-Jivin' " award; Ms. Kidd/Mrs. Sparks' class won the "Honky-Tonkin'" award; Mrs. Cuny's class won the "Texas Twister" award; Ms. Franco's class won the "Rootin-Tootin'" award.
