Sixth grade students use actual dinosaur fossils, on loan from SWAU, as part of their Core Knowledge Plate Tectonics Unit. Kindergarten students were taken on a tour of the fossils by sixth grade students where they practiced measuring and examining the fossils. Some of the highlights included comparing the size of an Edmontosaurus vertebrae to that of a cow, and the size of the Edmontosaurus jaw to their own. Other fossils included those of the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops and Pachycephalosaurus.
