African Dance Ensemble Performs

In a flurry of color, movement and rhythm, high school students brought African dance to Wilshire Elementary.  The African Dance Ensemble, from Booker T. Washington High School for the Visual and Performing Arts, is celebrating its 11th year, and consists of sophomores, juniors and seniors from the dance, music and theatre clusters of the school. The ensemble travels working to provide education and awareness of African dance and song to the North Texas Community and across the United States.  Not only did Wilshire Wildcats get to experience it by sight and sound, some were invited to join the dancers on stage.
