The students in Mrs. Salge's 2nd grade class have been studying the changes in the sun and moon for the past two weeks.  As an experiment lab for the study of the moon, the students created craters.  The students used different sizes of balls and dropped them into pans of sand that represented the surface of the moon.  The students learned how the moons surface has changed by different objects hitting it and causing craters.
